The £700 million Paradise masterplan includes ten new buildings for offices, shops and dining, hundreds of car parking spaces, a new hotel and public spaces between Centenary Square and Chamberlain Square. With the area having more recently been described as a 'financial mess' rather than 'paradise', the council has just been bailed out of a £51 million black hole Looking over towards the giant Paradise redevelopment site, from this angle you can see another pair of cranes both doing their bit to transform this part of the city for decades to come. Looking down from the Pershore Street side of the car park gives you a bird's-eye view of the former Gallan Parking bombsite car park next to Skinner Street and Hurst Street, where developers from Galliard Homes and Apsley House are beginning preparatory work to build apartments.
